Funcom, developer of Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures isn't in great shape. According to E24, there's a 20% layoff (from an estimated 300 workers) going on, affecting all Funcom studios. It seems that the troubled financial situation is the responsible for this action, something that will delay The Secret World for several months.

Also, Canada continues to be something like the Holy Graal for software studios - the government returns 37,5% of salaries to the studios. Funcom is interested in hiring more than 100 workers for their Montréal studio during the next 18 months. But for now, we're seeing layoffs, and that's definitely bad news.
