According to VG247, Blizzard’s Mike Morhaime sees a bright future for micro-transactions, something that started for World of Warcraft players with the Pet Shop we reported yesterday. It's not entirely clear if Blizzard is going to use the micro-transaction system in their other games - StarCraft II or Diablo III, and even their future MMORPG - but Morhaime tries to reassure players:

"All value added services are not required, as they are optional only nor will they adversely impact the experience should customers decide not to participate or purchase them."

So, for now, only cosmetic options. Let's hope it stays like that, so that wealthy players don't get an unfair advantage, something recurrent in the F2P market.
